Had this last weekend at Niji Sushi :)
Papaya Thai Restaurant
Posted: October 29, 2010
Today my sister and I went to Papaya for lunch. It's this Thai restaurant by Yonge and Wellesley. We ordered two dishes from the lunch menu, which also comes with a spring roll, soup, and salad. It was well worth it, about $8 for each lunch special. We had lemon grass beef, and red curry chicken.

Breakfast is served! I made a sausage, cheese and egg McMuffin, and a peameal bacon, cheese and egg McMuffin, both served with Cavendish hash browns (those are the best).

Last Saturday we finally had our Thanksgiving dinner, unfortunately turkeys are sold out :(. We ended up having pork roast, chicken, beef ribs, vegetables, stuffing, and baked garlic oysters (courtesy of me).

Random Oyster Encounter
Posted: October 15, 2010
So we were driving down Lawrence last Saturday and passed by Diana's Seafood. There was a long line-up outside. if you haven't been to Diana's (I suggest you go :p) they have two buildings, apparently they are opening a seafood restaurant soon in the building that is unoccupied. Anyways, they were selling fresh fanny bay oysters (when I say fresh, apparently they arrived an hour before we purchased them, so they were picked from the water that day!) 8 for $10. Of course being oyster fanatics we could not resist!!!

Mini-Thanksgiving
Posted: October 15, 2010
So usually if I did have turkey, I'd be posting pictures up here by now... However, my family Thanksgiving dinner isn't until this Saturday due to conflict of schedules. Instead, I cooked up a mini-thanksgiving dinner for Brian and I. I made honey-glazed ham, some herbed rice, and home-made cheese and broccoli soup... nothing special. :)

Friday Feast
Posted: October 15, 2010
Last Friday I had a few friends over and we cooked up a huge feast. Of course, I always like to add oysters to the mix when I have dinner nowadays (last time I will have oysters for a while, since we have been eating them every week and it's probably not too good for you). We made mussels with lemon garlic cream sauce, onion rings, and 70 oysters. YUM!

It's 4am right now and posting on my food blog is probably not a good idea and just asking to have late night munchies!
I was looking through pictures the other day and came along pictures of when we were in Montreal last December. I remember walking down Old Montreal in search for poutine! We ended up at a place called Montreal Poutine we had avocado fries, and poutine with mushroom and onions. drools.

Today my sister and I went for lunch, we're both kind of sick so we were on the hunt for udon soup. We ended up at Sushi Queen, we've been here before and had sushi, but this time we both ordered an udon soup and a dynamite roll.

SALMON SASHIMI'S NAMAREBA
Salmon Sashimi with salted sesame dipping oil

RIB EYE BEEF SUKIYAKI

So I made this amazing sandwich last week, that I thought was worth showing!
Tomato-basil turkey with swiss cheese, cucumber, tomato, lettuce... topped with garlic mayo and mustard seed.
