There aren't many korean restaurants downtown, especially by Ryerson. I usually come here when I work at Telus, since it is right across the street. It's not really a restaurant, pretty much you order at the counter, pay, then they bring it to you.

Kenzo Ramen - Downtown

Posted: September 30, 2010

I made a post about this restaurant a few months back. Turns out they also have a location downtown, but this location only has ramen which is a huge bummer, since I love their Don Katsu. This place is usually packed for lunch, located at Bay and Dundas. My sister and I both had the King of Kings Ramen (can't go wrong with that). Even though I got medium spicy, it was TOO spicy.

Pickle Barrel

Posted: September 30, 2010

Usually I'm not the biggest fan of chain restaurants, especially the Pickle Barrel since I had a bad experience there two years ago.
Nevertheless, my sister and I went here for a quick dinner last Tuesday. I must say it has gotten significantly better, and I love the large variety of choices. We had the steak sandwich (kind of dry, but maybe because we got well done. My sister says it's the best steak sandwich she has ever had though) and the spaghetti with giant meatballs (meatballs were very good)

EHWA Pear Blossom

Posted: September 30, 2010

I had my first day at my internship Wednesday at RBC Dominion Securities. For lunch I decided to have some korean food, so I ended up going to EHWA Pear Blossom. They have great lunch specials, of course I went with the Pork Bone Soup. All this for $5.00!

Garlic Baked Oysters

After Oyster night (will be posted shortly), we had some oysters left over. The next morning I decided not to eat them raw and bake them. They were so good! My recipe consisted of the following:
- Garlic
- Italian Breadcrumbs
- Parsley
- Lemon
- Parmesan
- Butter

While we were in New York, we ate at The Cheesecake Factory twice. This is my most favourite restaurant in the States. Amazing food, big portions, delicious cheesecake

Creasians BBQ

Posted: September 2, 2010

The other day for lunch my sister, Susan and I went to Creasians BBQ with our $30 coupon, which we purchased from www.livingsocial.com for $15. This place was really good, it was a mix of western cuisine with asian flavours! Overall, this place provided us with tastes which we have never imagined having before! We would definitely return!
